Birdwatching Bike Outing

BIRDWATCHING BIKE OUTING


Accompanied by birdsong and the soft light of dawn, cycle at nature's pace towards the marshes, reedbeds, and hedgerows of the Bay of Somme.

Two different routes are offered to discover the nesting and migratory species present in the region during spring.
Each is specifically designed for nature lovers (and cyclists!) and includes must-see birdwatching sites as well as some lesser-known natural spots.
The cycle paths and picturesque trails lend themselves to regular stops for peaceful birdwatching. A coffee break halfway through will allow you to recharge before returning to the starting point.

Maximum 8 participants – Minimum 3 participants
The routes are flat but may include sections off-road. A mountain bike or hybrid bike (electric or e-bike) or a good level of fitness is recommended.

"The Big Day" is an event where participants record as many bird species as possible in a single day at the Marquenterre Park.
Following in the footsteps of the Global Big Day, an annual international event for the birdwatching community, experience the eighth edition of Big Day Marquenterre.

More than just a day of competition, Big Day Marquenterre will be a special opportunity to appreciate the biodiversity of our favorite playground together.
