CARRIAGE RIDE

Accompanied by Archibald, Brillant, or Corail, our Boulonnais draft horses, set off by carriage to explore the Bay of Somme and its ever-changing lights. The coachman and guide will explain how the bay and its tides work while discovering the wildlife and plant life of this protected estuary.

A NIGHT AT THE MARQUENTERRE

The soft ochre lights of summer settle over the bodies of water. As the last visitors leave the park, set off with a guide to discover the life of the species that take advantage of the long days and evening coolness. Evening is an intense period in the life of animals, offering a convivial moment with family or friends for one evening… at Marquenterre.

THE HIGH TIDES

Outing in the Bay of Somme, along the dike of the Marquenterre Park, on days of high tides. These encounters with high tides of strong coefficient allow visitors to discover the landscapes of the intertidal zone and the many animal and plant species that live there. It’s the perfect opportunity to observe birds driven by the waves.

WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Accompanied by the beautiful dawn atmosphere and a specialized, passionate guide, the park opens up to you for an immersion into the world of wildlife photography. Starting with naturalist knowledge and moving through creativity (framing, composition) and technical settings, experience a half-day rich in nature education. At sunrise, the park is closed to the public, allowing us to prioritize fieldwork to take advantage of the best light in an unusual setting. The outings are punctuated with occasional knowledge reviews indoors and a breakfast.

TWILIGHT EXIT

As evening falls, Marquenterre Park takes on a new face. Twilight is a special moment to enjoy unique atmospheres: the concert of common toads, the nightingale’s crystal-clear song, or the noisy arrival of cormorants at the roost. A whole soundscape that delights the ears. Immerse yourself in this ambiance with a guide and enjoy a picnic on-site at an observation post.

IN SEARCH OF THE LOST BIRDHOUSE

As a family, set off on a clue-hunting adventure to uncover the secrets of the birds of Marquenterre Park. After an introduction at the viewpoint, the guide will let you embark on a ‘naturalist mission.’ Equipped with their field notebooks, children will have to solve puzzles by looking for clues at observation posts along the trail or from guides encountered along the way. Once the mysteries are solved, all teams will gather around the guide to enjoy their explanations and a tasty snack at the heronry observatory.

A resin hide is personally reserved for you to experience intimate bird photography. Its location at water level allows for high-quality shots. Throughout the seasons, ducks, spoonbills, and waders make an appearance. The naturalist-photographer guide will advise you when booking on the best period to choose according to your photographic preferences.
